STUDENT GUIDELINES

General Rules

Students are expected to follow the rules and regulations of Indraprastha Institute of Management & Technology (IIMT), Saharanpur to maintain discipline, academic integrity and a healthy learning environment.

  • Students must maintain discipline and proper conduct within the Institute premises at all times.
  • Students must carry their valid Institute Identity Card while entering and remaining on the campus.
  • Students are required to attend classes regularly and maintain the minimum attendance prescribed by the Institute/University.
  • Students must follow the academic calendar, examination schedule and other academic instructions issued by the Institute.
  • Admission of a student shall be considered final only after verification of all required documents and payment of the prescribed fee.
  • Students must provide correct and authentic information during the admission process. Admission may be cancelled if any submitted information or document is found to be false.
  • Students must follow all rules and regulations prescribed by the affiliating University and other applicable regulatory authorities.
  • Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Any student involved in ragging shall be subject to disciplinary action as per applicable rules and regulations.
  • Smoking, consumption of alcohol, tobacco, narcotic substances or any other prohibited substance is strictly forbidden within the Institute premises.
  • Students are expected to maintain cleanliness and protect Institute property, furniture, laboratory equipment, library resources and other facilities.
  • Any damage caused to Institute property may result in disciplinary action and recovery of the cost of damage from the responsible student.
  • Students must maintain silence and discipline in classrooms, laboratories, library and other academic areas.
  • Mobile phones and electronic devices should be used only in accordance with the instructions issued by the Institute and faculty members.
  • Students must behave respectfully with faculty members, staff, visitors and fellow students.
  • Misconduct, abusive behaviour, harassment, discrimination, violence or any activity disturbing the academic environment will not be tolerated.
  • Students must follow laboratory, library, examination and departmental rules wherever applicable.
  • Students appearing in examinations must follow all examination rules. Use of unfair means may lead to disciplinary action as per University/Institute norms.
  • Notices and instructions displayed on the Institute notice board or published through official communication channels shall be considered important institutional communication.
  • Students are responsible for regularly checking academic notices, examination information, fee notices and other official announcements.
  • The Institute reserves the right to take appropriate disciplinary action in case of violation of institutional rules and regulations.

Important Note

The Institute may revise or update these rules whenever required in accordance with the guidelines of the affiliating University, regulatory authorities and institutional policies. Students are advised to remain updated with official notices issued by the Institute.
